A well thought out coil design with a vintage vibe, using only the finest materials. One very unique and functional feature is the stagger on the magnets. Unlike vintage pickups that have raised magnets for the D and G, and a lower magnet for the B string, James Tyler's design only raises the D string magnet. This results in a better string balance for the modern player who uses an unwound G or 3rd string.

The 2250’s are a calibrated set and they are equipped with Alnico 2 magnets for a faster breakup and spongier bass response. All Tyler strat pickups are specially wound to be round in tone, with lots of top end presence, and do not have that typical “ice pick” sound you hear with so many strat pickups.

Each pickup uses high quality, low capacitance lead wires, made of 18 strands of individually silver plated oxygen free copper wire, and then insulated with Teflon. The insulation does not melt when you solder, and the wire won’t hum when you touch it.
